windows reports AV is off when its not.

I am over at a friends place and on his computer windows xp is reporting the AV is turned off when the AV says its running. What might be causing this?:confused

something could be turned off in your startup progreams .could you post it.also ckeck in your task manager to see if there is a problem..?

 

On the startup list the only one you dont see is intervideo WinCinema Manager

you c ould ckeck in services in your control panel and ckeck see if av is turned on and start it. then eboot it..
