Windows Script Host

Hi everybody!

I don't even know if I'm writing in the right forum here, but today when I started up my computer there is an annoying message that pops up all the time. When I closed my PC yesterday there were now problems and I didn't download and install anything at all yesterday.

Can anyone tell me how to get rid of this? The file IS existing in C:Windows\ as it should, so there must be something wrong with Windows Script Host as far as I can understand.

I'm sorry but that didn't work.

 

No idea what your OS is as you haven't said. But if it is Windows 8 or 10 you can do a RESET retaining all personal files.

Thank you for your effort. I found another solution in another forum and it did the trick! I'll copy it here if someone else needs it. I had to modify the solution by making a new file with Notepad and give it the name xdgaudio.vbs and add the suggested line inside it. Then I renamed the original file to xdgaudio.vbsBAK and added the new file to the directory. All because Win10 didn't allow me to to save the original file when i tried to do the changes.

Open Windows File Explorer
Navigate to C:\Windows\xdgaudio.vbs
Right click that file and choose 'Open with' - Notepad

Replace the contents of that file with this one line:
WScript.Quit

Save the file and re-start your system . . .

That's It!
