We are trying to edit excel documents containing macros that are stored within a SharePoint document library.

We have 1 user who is required to update these documents. She clicks on the link on the document library, once the document is opened even though she has edit rights she is not prompted to edit the document and unable to save it.

She only gets the option to “save as” which then doesn’t save over the existing document.

Are there any known issues with using Macro enabled documents in Sharepoint 3.0 which prevent the clients running office 2010 to update these documents?

Is our requirement feasible on current software?

Is there different process required to update these types of macro enabled documents?
