Windows strange behavior

    confused
    I am unable to open any applications using the double click action in windows 2000. And the single click option works fine. Is there a virus or some sort of spyware affecting system,or is this another MICROSOFT bug? Please help.

    Could it be the way you have the mouse set up? Check your mouse properties...more than likely you have it set that way.

    Thank you for the swift response.That was the case,someone moved the mouse response slider to the fast position.
