My son ran a virus scan on our home computer, deleted found viruses, and since then, we cannot get an interntet connection at all. Our local area connection states that we are connected but when clicking on explorer, we get message "page cannot be found" and the above error. Please advise what I should try. Thanks

 

Assuming you have Windows XP.

1. Start
2. Control Panel
3. Internet Options
4. Click on the Tab "Connections"
5. Lan Settings
6. Uncheck everything
7. Click "Apply" then "OK"
8. Click "OK"

Now see if you have internet access.
