Windows Update Error 80070002 And Others

Hi there. I've become increasingly frustrated due to this problem and decided to turn to major geeks because in the past you guys have helped me with any issues I ever couldn't figure out on my own.

So I can't seem to get Windows Updates to work. I have tried many of the troubleshooting methods that are out there and am continuously hitting brick walls. I'm running windows 7 professional and the main reason I would like to resolve this issue is so that I can upgrade to 10 but due to windows not being able to update I cannot do this. I'd like to fix the issue without having to reinstall windows. My friend who gave me this OS said it was a one time use disc or something..

If there are any of you out there who enjoy solving puzzles and helping people.. please please please lend me a hand if you can

Installer.

Click the Repairs tab, check the box for a registry backup, and click Open Repairs.
Uncheck all items and only check 17 - Repair Windows Updates.
Click Start Repairs and when completed, restart your PC.

 

Thank you for your response. I followed the steps you listed and it is still unable to search for updates. The error code is now 80244019

 

Run Tweaking.com - Windows Repair again and follow all the steps. This will take a while.
When you get to the actual repairs, select the defaults.
