Windows Update Problems

I have had no problems with Windows automatic update until recently. I noticed I had no notifiications of updates in quite some time so I attempted to manually update. When I do, I have to allow the active x to install. Of which the following window pops up:

Windows has found a problem with this file

name: wuweb_site.cab?1158718133968

Publisher: Unknown Publisher
The file was blocked because it doesnot have a valid digital signature that verifies its publisher

When I click OK....the error 08xDDD0004 comes up. All active x controls are enabled (after checking in add ons).

Am at a loss! Please advise .

Followed all instructions on the link. Still the exact same results.

The window that pops up is an IE Security Warning window. (with the information Iquoted above)

 

Had same problem. Wouldn't work until I re-booted after Step 3 in the previous reference: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/914224/en-us
Then went on to step 4.
