Windows Update

Hello to you all.
My problems started with, or was assisted by malware.
After sorting out this problem, I am still in the position of problems with installing programs, updates etc.
If I go into Services via admin tools, I find Windows Installer disabled. I correct this to Auto.
Install or try to install and Windows Installer has reset to disabled????
Further probs are that InastallerShield gives Error1607.
Many Many attempts to cure both probs.
Including Install Windows Install Engine, Regedit32 procedure, Insscript 1100 and dial-a fix.etc.
Still got problems. Somethings going on!
Any ideas, looked thru the forums and still no closer.

However the same good folks you advise me to visit said 'visit the software forum, as your logs are clear'
Further to my last visit I have installed another program with no problems, so it may be specific to Silkypix 2nd ed SE I shall attempt to see if it's only this that is causing prob's.

Windows installer should be set to manual.

Something to try:
Dowload, unzip, then run dial-a-fix: http://www.majorgeeks.com/download4899.html

Click the green check mark, click GO, then a windows will appear. Double check date/time/timezone press ok.

Any errors post here. Someone should be able to help.

Dial-a-fix should help with windows installer issues and some windows update issues. Also a few added items on top.

I tried dial-a-fix B4, but I've run it again with log attachment.
Windows Installer is set to manual.
Tried to install a program and received 'Error 1607 Unable to install InstallShield Scripting Runtime'
