windows update

can not update high security updates.
looks like it tries to update the genuine advantage tool ,but never does ,then when i look at history nothing is there .
please help.

I've seen that before. Turned out that the AV was causing the problem ... which was Trend Micro. A Trend update finally fixed it. Disable your AV and try installing the genuine disadvantage tool again.

i went to Microsoft updates found the genuine advantage tool download and downloaded it form there.
ran windows updates from my computer and it seems to have cured the problem there was no critical updated to download,i still do not see in history that i did download the genuine advantage tool or validated it.
looked in control panel nothing there either.
where would i see it?.
hope its there somewhere!!! still seems to be working.
