So i've been infected half a dozen times with different fake AVs, and always have been able to successfully remove them using malwarebytes or similar programs. I had another infection today and had malwarebytes scanning to delete it when my OS crashed, and when it rebooted i got a 0xc000000f error. I tried repairing with a Vista recovery disk, which didnt work, and I followed Microsoft's instructions to repair my MBR from the command prompt. That stopped the 0xc000000f error, but now before Windows loads i get a blue screen that says something about "windows shutting down to prevent damage" and "dumping physical memory" before rebooting real fast. Googling hasnt produced anything. Help would be infinitely appreciated.

Actually until you get your PC to boot, you are better off working in the Software Forum where people can try to help you work thru your boot up issues.

Is this the same PC as in the below thread that you just indicated you fixed the Whistler infection?
