window's vista error

hi all i have question...my brother has window's vista and he's trying to play a game called swat 4 but when he tries to run swat 4 he gets this error: Microsoft visual c++ runtime library, program: c:\programfiles\sierra\swat\content\system\swat4.e xe...... can u please help with how to fix this and be able to run swat 4. thanks :]

You could try telling it to run in XP SP2 compatibility mode. Do this by finding the game executable file (right click the Swat 4 shortcut and select properties, and it will tell you the location of the target file). Then, navigate to and right click the actual executable file (not the shortcut), select properties, go to the compatibility tab, check "Run this program in compatibility mode for:" and select Windows XP (Service Pack 2).

 

hi all i actually got it to work it was a long *** process of sending the error file to a online help community and they send u back a file that will make it work for vista but thank u all for trying to help
