windows vista locking up but is not frozen?

hi guys my os is having some weird issue im runnig windows vista ultimate it like locks up on me to were i cant click on anything in my taskbar or any windows that are open but the pc is not frozen! the mouse pointer moves around normaly the only way i can get it to click again is pressing ctrl+alt+del to bring up the taskmaneger and then i jsut click cancel but i hate doin this over and over again it happens all the time didnt do this before other wise the pc works realy good wierd ? any ideas? please help!:confused

 

Malware is always most likely in a case like this. There are other suspects but you would prefer to address this one first. Run CCleaner all options checkmarked - also the registry cleaner inside it and/or run ATF-Cleaner. Update and run all your security software. Full scans. Visit at least 2 online scanners such as Kaspersky and ESET NOD32. And visit an important newer free Microsoft online service Safety Scan for Windows Vista - also go for a full scan here. Finally download Secunia PSI RC3 and run it. Update all else according to it's suggestions.

Also check your event viewer: Control Panel -> Administrative Tools -> Event Viewer -> Custom Views -> Administrative Events.

hi forum they send back here again from the malaware forum they told that my problem is not coused by malware any other ideas why this could be happening i checked my event viewer log and theres about 1500 events i have no idea what they mean or how to fix them im not to good with pcs so please go easy on me thanks in advance :-D
