When it becomes available for most users, how does one convert to it? I run WinXP Home currently. Seems to me one won't just simply download or overwrite their current OS. How complicated will it be to move to Vista?

you will have two choice upgrading to the new OS or the best thing to do format your harddisk and install the new OS.

But this it with be only this on october i think.....

to be perfectly honest I would do the same a Clark and save all my important docs, settings and files and clean install as this is a whole new OS.

but more info will come out as Clark said when Vista is about to go RTM and be released to the masses, it will however be coming in many more versions than XP to cater for many groups of users so I gather.

    a small snippet of versions
