windows vista probs

Hi

For about a month windows has not updated. Keep getting error code 800b0109
this problem mainly occurs in ie. I also get the message.
"A certificate chain processed, but terminated in a root certificate which is not trusted by the trust provider".:cry
I am a bit of a novice when it comes to computers, so if anyone can take me through what the heck is going on, I'd be forever in your debt My puter is a HP 34 bit. Thanks in advance.

 

You cannot install some updates or programs
Method 8 (Verify the status of all certificates in the certification path and import missing or damaged certificates from another computer) might be applicable in your situation.
