Windows Vista

I want to uninstall Windows Defender, I went to my control panel and did they necessary steps, it took it off my list but, when i went to see what programs were still running, it was there running in the background, there is no icon on my desktops or anything on my control panel, but it is there, i ran a scan just to make sure it was working and it is.

How can i get Windows Defender uninstalled using Windows Vista (Totally and Permanently off my computer and any and all files/folders.)

There really isn't a way to remove Windows Defender from Vista currently.
