I have an acer ast180, which says it alows for up to 4gb of ram. Everytime i install more then 2gb windows will not start. I know i have 32bit and windows will not reckognize all 4gb, but i want to have more then just the 2gb installed now. I have 4 matching 1gb strips of ram, all the slots and ram work i tested them all independently. I even tried using some old 512mb strips with the 2gb installed and that didnt work either, please help im gonna need to buy a new pc if i cant figure this out.

It's possible that you have a bad slot. Have you tried each slot independently? Also try setting your BIOS to "failsafe" mode.
