I have Windows XP Professional (1800 MGHZ and 256 MB) and recently installed a Geforce FX 5200. However I am having problems with the Video card. My system is an onboard graphics. However I re-installed my system with the new video card without installing the onboard one. My system seems stable....however the graphics are worst than the onboard graphics. It cannot display Windows XP Plus Screen savers correctly or play games such as Max Payne or Need For Speed Underground properly (without dark screens and missing letters, mouse pointer not showing correctly...) I've installed the latest drivers from Nvidia's Web site... doesn't help. Can someone please help. :(

would it be safe to say that you meant that you disabled the onboard video controller in the BIOS? and not just "not installed it"?

I had a problem with my old 5200 Ultra. I installed the newest drivers and i couldnt do a thing with it.

I played around a little and found that i had no problem with the drivers on the BF Vietnam CD. I have no clue what version they where, but after that i had no problems.
