    Hey guys,
Recently constructed a computer, and chose SATA as the hard drive type I'd use (over IDE). Upon installing Windows, I mistakingly forgot somehow to install RAID drivers on setup. Windows in fact installed fine without difficulty, but my question is, will I experience any performance issues with a SATA drive without the drivers installed? Or does this mean that Windows already had the SATA drivers for my MBoard included?

I'm using an Asrock 775-Dual VSTA motherboard, for everyone's information.

Performance seems to be fine...just seeking an opinion.

    Thanks in advance!

    Mike

Having used the same motherboard , I found no problems, and you will not really notice any difference.
You will only really need the sata driver, if you decide to use raid.
Usually i set my bios to , without looking it up , ahci,I think its' called, instead Of IDE/SATA. (I know that's what I set it to on my newer boards.
