Hi! I have a Windows XP problem I hope you can help me with.

I reset the Administrators password via Linux, and now any program I try to run gives me the error:
"Windows cannot access the specified device, path, or file. You may not have the appropriate permissions to acces the item."

I am logged in as Administrator.

    Thanks,
    Stringer

    Hi

Likely need to as you changed your password to take ownership of the C Drive http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx/kb/308421 with your named admin account again.

Alternatively if the optionis available to you right click the applications EXE file and click Properties and at bottom should be Unblock, click that and did this work, if so them your likely to have to do this will all applications,
