Windows XP Installer Package Error

I am having a Windows Installer Package problem. I was trying to download/install something from a survey company I belong to. I keep getting the error that "windows installer package error script could not be run". I am attaching my HiJack this log in hopes that someone can help me!

 

There's nothing suspicious looking in your log file. This is just a guess, but it sounds like the program you are trying to install might be at fault. Have other people installed this software successfully?

 

I thought maybe it was the software i was installing too. Lots of other people states they have installed the program though. I have updated Java as their tech support suggested and no luck. I also went through all the steps found on google to update my Windows Installer and still it won't install.:confused

 

Maybe your installer is corrupted. Try running the System File Checker from a command prompt.
sfc /SCANNOW

 

And another thought. Your AV/Anti-malware software might be preventing the installer from running correctly. Try temporarily disabling your AV/Anti-malware and then run try the installation.

 

I ran the system file checker and turned off IObit 360 and voila, it installed. Don't know which corrected the problem but thank you!
