Windows XP SP2 will NOT update

    I'm trying to install the Windows XP update. Progress gets to about 75% and comes to a dead stop. There are no error messages or anything, it just gets locked at 75% every time. What should I do?

    how are you doing the updates? do you have it setup where they are downloaded automatically? or are you going to microsoft.com, and d/l'ing them from there? i've had problems (i had mine set to inform me, but not download) in the past, and i wound up going to the site and get them from there. also, have you rebooted since the errors? anyway, g/l - sos
