How do I get my computor to go straight to my desktop view when I start my computor? It goes to a welcome page now that has my name and asks for a password. I would like to bypass that step as it is only my wife and myself on this one and it doesn't have any private information on it. We use it mostly for games. I am using Windows XP.Thank You

    Hi

As you have two accounts on the PC, it wont as Windows doesnt know which account to direct boot into.

Personally I find its a safe and secure option to have passwords for accounts on a PC.

This should work for you. http://forums.majorgeeks.com/showthread.php?t=57079

Edit: Do you have a password set for that account? If you do I would go into Control Panel>User Accounts>Change an Account>your user name and click Remove my Password. Restart and then do the dotNET login fix.

That is the thread that got me started at MG. It was so helpful I thought I would join up.

Glad I could help as my way of giving back. :)
