Windows XP task manager problem

When I do Alt, CTRL, Del to bring up task manager, all I get is the task box - no toolbar, no processes or CPU usage tabs, nothing. Not even the little x in the top right.

Is there a way to get to task manager other than ALT/CTRL/DEL, and why would mine have gone wonky? Any ideas?

 

Forget that - it's sorted, and I feel like an idiot.....

 

Can you right click your Taskbar and bring it up through the menu?

 

Ok I am glad you figure this out but I suddenly have this same problem and I cannot figure out why. I have no tabs just the inner box that shows the runnign [rocesses.. HELP! It is irritating to not be able to look at the other parameters and stuff.

You would be shocked how many times we get the big DOH! when people see the solution to this problem.

 

Ok. The fact that 2 people have posted this issue & had it resolved via this site is a great thing. Problem is that I am having the same issue & need to know the answer. Please help, but I bet it would be appreciated if you posted the answer publicly as well.

To bring up the Task Manager:

If there are no tabs:
Double click any edge of the window.
