    is a list of mirrors.
2nd one on list is in Cali. Down near the bottom is TX, FL, Purdue (in Indiana) and Wisconsin.
    You download an ISO.
Do you know how to burn an ISO? It is not done like a data disk.

You download an ISO just like any other download. It isn't anything special. BUT, when you go to burn it to a CD, that's when you do ISOs differently.
Since I don't have Nero, which most people use, I downloaded a free program called ImgBurn http://www.imgburn.com/
Here is a guide with pictures http://forum.imgburn.com/index.php?showtopic=61
it is pretty idiot-proof and that's what I needed!
In fact, you might be able to just right-click the ISO you downloaded and you might have a menu choice that says, burn with ImgBurn.

If you already have Nero, don't hog up your computer with another burning program. I'm sure someone who uses Nero can tell you the proper things to click to burn an ISO.

OK - I have a stupid question.......I have never burned a cd before. My husbands new computer has the capabilities but I have no idea where to look to see if his computer came with any kind of cd burn software. Also, I looked at the Knoppix link and what do I do with it? I have linked it on my hubbys computer but not sure now what I do with it......dont want to sound dumb but I am venturing into territory that I have not ventured into before :) I humbly await your reply :)

You click on a mirror closest to your location and a box will pop up indicating that it will download. I trust you are on broadband because it is a large download, close to 700MB and will take a while to download.

If you've never burned before, then download ImgBurn (as I said, it is almost foolproof) to burn the ISO after it has been downloaded.
