Does anyone here know if it would be safe to load WindowsServer2003 Enterprise Edition with XP Pro on a different hard drive. There are three in this machine. C:10gig, D:10gig and E:20gig. XP is on C: and E:, has plenty of room for the Server installation.

Setting this up to ICS my LAN during the day with Server2003 and watch John Stewart at night. (It's in the bedroom) I have a terrabyte RAID downstairs (5X200gig, 1gig RAM, P3@733) for storage for my spouse's images and cakewalk files.

Server-ICS machine is 1.3gig AMD, 768RAM, 128MB ATI video, 21" MultisyncXP21 monitor, DVD, 5.1 Surround and a Hauppauge TV Card.

I want to do this system also because I don't believe I'll find any drivers for the TV yet.

    Input?

    Thanks,

    Raven

I don't see any reason why this couldn't be done.

I second Kodo's motion. If they're on two totally seperate hard drives, the worst that could happen is ... the two OS's won't recognize each other's hard drives... not a big deal. Don't see any reason why it wouldn't work.

I've done it and had it work.

2003 Server should work without a problem in any dual-boot system. Only problem I've seen with it is making a workstation from it - it has no native sound support - most drivers are 3rd party - some xp or 2k drivers will not work.
