Windows7 wont load

Hey ... i was playing a game earlier and my computer was like freezing every few secs so i thought maybe i should restart the laptop ... now when i do so it passes the dell screen then just stays blank (sometimes it will load to the startup repair screen)

Any suggestions ... ive read a few other places and so far ive seen ppl think its a broken mother board ... but the laptop wasnt even that warm and it was working fine untill like 10 min before i restarted ... could it be a virus messed my windows 7 ?.

Im, gonna try go into safe mode now see if i can run a virus scan .. any thought what it could be?

When it goes to the Startup Repair screen it should tell you the drive letter of your Windows installation(usually C: but sometimes from the repair screen it is a different letter).

After Startup repair doesn't find any problems go to advanced options, hitting next button should take you there, and select Command Prompt and then type in chkdsk c: /r to check your filesystem for errors. (If startup repair reports a different drive letter for your Windows substitute that for the c in this command.)

 

also try fixboot c: command as well

 

I think there is some problem in your Windows version. You may format and re-install the game.
