Ive gone though everything I can think of (short of reinstalling). Its the print server at an automotive shop so reinstalling means downtime and I dont think they want me here when the shop is closed.

Tried: CWShredder, CWshredder.smart, Spybot S&D, Spysweeper, Adaware, and Hijack this (log file posted).

Those are all valid Windows 98 processes; they should not have been deleted.

Do not copy & paste logs in to your post; always include logs as attachments.

HijackThis is installed incorrectly; install HijackThis to C:\HJT.

That log appears to be from Safe mode.

    Please follow the steps below:

    - Run ALL the steps in this Sticky thread READ & RUN ME FIRST Before Asking for Support
    • Make sure you check version numbers and get all updates.
    - Very Important: Make sure you tell us the results from running the tutorial...was anything found? Were you unable to complete any of the scans?...Were you unable to download any of the tools?...Did you do the on-line scans as suggested? etc.

After doing ALL of the above you still have a problem make sure you have booted to normal mode and run the steps in the below link to properly use HijackThis:

    Downloading, Installing, and Running HijackThis

Yes, I read the tutorial, very helpful, lots of useful links. Yes, I followed the directions.

Sorry for posting HJT log, figured it was short enough that it wouldnt be a problem (my mistake). HJT was whining that it didnt like being in C:\ so I moved it back to the desktop, Ill make a note that even though its whining it still should keep it in C:\

no, it was not run in safe mode, I merely got rid of every process that wasnt needed to A: boot, B: allow the computer to continue to act as a print server.

CW is now gone. It didnt seem to want to disapear till I rebooted multiple times to safe mode and scanned.

HJT will work from the desktop, it's just not a preferred location.

You are saying the system is fixed now?
