    Hello

My computer is so badly infected that I have to go on another computer to post this because my browser is so hijacked that it won't even let me access ANY forums that have anything to do with malware or spyware. I have tried downloading and running different things, and they are being prevented from being run on the computer. After download they just won't run.

I was able to run Spy Doctor and it said I have Spyware.180search.assistant, however I've researched that on another computer and can't find any files that seem to indicate it is true. Spy Doctor wouldn't fix it unless I pay for it, and like I'm so sure that I really want to use my credit card on an infected computer? Riiiiiighhhht! And I'm not even convinced that is what the problem is.

When I use any search tool like google and I click on a link I am redirected to www.windowsclick.com and then redirected to some spam marketing site.

I followed all the instructions on the malware removal sheet posted here right up until I got to the part where I am supposed to download and run programs. I can't even get ccleaner to run on there.

    I need help badly!

    Thanks,
    Bee

    Hi there and welcome.

Did you try running the tools in safemode? Let me know what happens.

    I tried safe mode.

I tried using a thumb drive to d/l all the malware removal tools from another computer first and I even tried running them directly from the website instead of downloading first.

I could not run any of the spyware or malware tools recommended on this site. I also could not access ANY url that was related to the removal of spyware or malware. The browser would just respond that the sites did not exist.

This is the worst virus or malware attack I've ever seen.

I finally gave up and reformatted my hard drive and reinstalled all my applications from scratch.

I am running AVG and Zone Alarm. I now have an IP address that keeps trying to access my computer but ZA is blocking it but it is still scary to me. The IP address is 192.168.1.100 (various ports every time). We do have another computer in the house that hosts our wireless network (secure) and I don't know how to check and see if that IP is coming from the other computer. It would put my mind at ease.

    Thanks for the help!

Thank you so much. I do have Linksys. We have 2 computers and the router is on the other computer (not this one.) I am thankful for your reply.
