i know this is on my system because of something my son did. i have seen the procedures to remove it and it is just too hard for me. i plan on taking it to a pro to remove. i wanted to find out exactly how bad is this and what does it do exactly?? i have read the description but being a novice to all this it does not make any sense to me. should i not use my computer at all - for anything? i run my biz online and have all kinds of bank info as well as tax info on it - is it possible for someone to access it? should i stay away from sites that i have to view my financial info. or since i have been doing that for a couple years now isn't all that info on my system?

sorry for all the questions - i have never had any type of spyware problem like this before and it really scares me.

Thanks in advance for any help or info!

This particular infection to my knowledge hasnt but any trojan has the ability to do this. This infection needs to be cleaned as soon as possible, rootkits are main ones that steal personal information.

See the below thread on this infection.

Virtumonde aka Trojan Vundo Fix w/ Tool
