I've got Winfixer again, the second time in two weeks. I think i'm picking it up from MYSPACE? I have done everything to protect my computer, but i still keep getting infected by Winfixer?

    Please help me out!

No you did not! The last directions I gave to you at the end of your previous thread were:

You neglected to follow all of these steps.

How do I know? Well for one I do not see a firewall installed. What other parts of the steps did you skip?

But note those steps cannot protect you from "you". If you go to bad sites and click on things that you should not click on or say OK to popups that should be denied (and some times the answer is the opposite of what you think. You need to read completely), then nothing will protect you.

However, I do not see Winfixer in your log!

    1. Actually i did. I work out of my house and have only had success using the windows based firewall--i installed the recommended, but i couldn't get my internet to work having installed them. I need internet access and i'm not savvy enough to get the recommended firewalls to work properly without shutting down my internet access.

    2. Mozilla will not load some of the websites I have to go to, so i have to use IE, until i can resolve this problem! Any suggestions?

    Thanks for your help!

The Windows firewall does not provide adequate protection. It is not a full firewall like the others. Each of those firewall's default installation should normally recognize the valid Windows processes (like Internet Explorer and others) and allow them internet access by default. If something gets blocked and you need it to have access, it is easily changed.

What problem are you referring too?

I've got Kerio Personall Firewall up and running. I had to change my router settings and switch over to normal mode (firewall normal mode) and now i'm able to access the internet.

Mozilla wasn't loading all of the websites i need to access. I've since uninstalled the old version of Mozilla and reinstalled the newest version and it's now loading the pages. Hopefully Mozilla works out for me.

    Thanks again for your help!!!!
