WinFixer-Amaena, WinAntiVirus etc.

About 2 weeks ago, my computer was first infected with Winfixer. My daughter accidentally downloaded it, thinking it was real, but I quickly removed it when I found out she downloaded it. I've tried multiple programs (trend, windows defend, symantec, McAffee) but none of those found anything. Winfixer makes pornographic pop-ups appear, and I have children that use this computer, and I don't want them exposed to this. They go to their typical websites like nick.com or disney or cartoon network, and a bunch of nasty nude women appear. I'm not sure if this is anyway related to winfixer or not, but lately I've been getting a bunch of spam in my email. Is Backweb related? I think it might be. Can you help me remove it?

I'm not sure exactly what you are asking me. Are you saying you don't trust the information I'm giving you? And you are afraid to run the steps I gave you?

Read some of my 25400+ posts here in the forum and then decide for yourself. Since you don't know anyone here or at any other forum, obviously it is always good to be suspicious. However this forum is not like many other forums. The only people allowed to answer requests for help in this forum have been approved to be experts in this area and can help you with all your malware problems.
