WinMerge 2.12.4

    I appear to have several iterations of files in different folders. I need a way to analyze folders for common files.:confused
    Is WinMerge 2.12.4 a safe program and would it satisfy my need to compare folders for common files?

    I'd suggest http://freefilesync.sourceforge.net/ or if you want the 'best' shareware program for that job I'd say http://www.foldermatch.com/ - I use foldermatch - very easy to use and understand the comparison & has filters to show matches or orphan files, whatever you want.

    WinMerge does the job but it is not very easy to understand folder comparisons, works excellent with text files.
