I forgot to add to the previous request that I receive this message when I insert the cd I want to rip: "Windows Media Player cannot access the file. The file might be in use, you might not have access to the computer where the file is stored, or your proxy settings might not be correct." I try to play it on the computer I am on now. Thank you,

    Hi Wadda

What Windows version and Service Pack are you using as well as what version of Windows Media Player are you using, if they are not the latest service pack as in Windows or the latest version for your version of Windows for Media Player then update.

One think that I have saved in a fix file for similar to your issue is the below so try the steps and see if you can rip the CD again

Click Start > Control Panel > Select Sound > Double click on speakers > Click on advanced tab and then uncheck enable audio enhancements. Then try again.
