winrar

i down loaded a winrar file ,in that file there are 17 parts.when i try to open it part 1 opens then says to install part 2 ,but i cant (dont know what im doing wrong) can some one help?????.

I haven't downloaded anything like that for quite some time so may not be able to help but let's see what the file extension is. I think HJSplit used to be used where the extension is something like .001, .002 etc.

Set your extension to show and let us know the extension of the file (three letters after the dot).

Control Panel>Folder Options>View tab>untick the box for "Hide extensions for Known File Types" and hit Apply.
