winspy software

    i purchased winspy software to monitor my home computers while away. everything works fine when at home on my network. i have account and host name at dyndns and installed an update client. i cannot access the home network computers while away. i have port forwarded for computer i want to access, but still cannot access the xp or vista computer while away. what do i type in browser to access. i am typing "hostname":external ip of home network.

    you have to define the port in the IP with a colon.
    so 10.1.1.1:4000 or whatever. when you type the ip into the browser like that, its trying to access it via port 80 by default.

    thats generally how you would do it. ive never used that software though.
