has windows washer materially changed? when i try to get the updates lately, it asks for ID, passcode, etc.

why i DL the "free trial" off the webroot site directly, the file reads "WinWashReg_EN", and, indeed, asks me for registration #.

    what next?

How long have you used the trial? Eventually you are either expected to pay or stop using the program. It will not work indefinitely - hence the term trial.

    oh, i dunno 8-9 years maybe?! :-D

wasn't WW freeware or shareware or the like? seems to me the basic version was always free and good forever.

it's this new version "WW 2011" which is suddenly talking costs and renewals and a "free trial". which in my case didn't even begin....

OK, i'll have a look at that.

i also have CCleaner and ASC, but i'm used to also having WW in the rotation. prolly the FIRST one i had.
