winxp crashing - due to qsfsfltr.sys ?

I have laptop running winxp home ediiton service pack 3.

I am trying to install an iomega home media network storage drive
when I try to install the s/w from the cd, my computer always crashes (blue screen) and the message mentions the file qsfsfltr.sys

I have checked the iomega forums, only 1 mention of this problem and someone said that maybe this qsfsfltr.sys file is corrupted

no real mention of this file or problem anywhere on the internet.

please help!
