I know I've seen it somewhere, and I'm pretty sure it was here at MG, but there's a little app that resets the Windows Security Center. For example: lets say a PC was infected with one of those rogue/fake antivirus nightmares; lets say you completely remove it, but Windows Security Center still has the name of the rogue listed, and I want to reset the Security Center. OR- lets say you uninstall an outdated antivirus app, but it is still reported as being "out of date" by the Security Center..... you get my drift, right? I know there's an app out there that resets the Sec.Center, but I can't seem to find it....

    THANKS!

    Halo

On the Comodo Security user forum is a clean-up script that includes
I believe that corresponds to your "Manual way ... post 13"

Please advise the pros and cons of the "manual way" and
    http://my.opera.com/rejzor/blog/secu...t-1-0-released
Is one more dangerous / less aggressive than the other.

I have very recently discovered that the manual way will, in one immediate action, produce 3 off .NET Framework errors and 5 Mofcomp.log errors and 50 extra ...wbem\autorecover\*.MOF files - and I do not know if they are permanent disasters or something that I should try to fix, or if Windows has been able to mend itself.

Is it possible that the above problems are not a normal outcome,
but a result of damage last year by deleting the repository and before rebuilding completed I deleted again, and again, and again ........
This happened last year when I was repeatedly running a script that was failing to delete Comodo files and keys due to permissions errors, and I was not aware that every time it ran it also deleted the repository.

I have not yet had any reply to my original post at
