WinXP setup: "Who will use this computer?"

I am in the process of setting up a new HP netbook (HP Mini 110-1012NR), and it's asking me to set up "the name of each person who will use this computer," so that Windows can "create a separate user account for each person."

The three names I selected were:

• Admin
• [MyName]
• guest

I hit "Next," but it then returned me to the "Who will use this computer?" screen, and gave me the following additional rules/directives:

• Names must be no more than 20 characters
• Names must not contain the characters [blah, blah, blah]
• Names cannot just be all spaces and periods
• Names must each be different
• Names must not be equal to "[ComputerName]", "Administrator" or "Guest"

It's obviously this last one that got me... what I'm wondering is this:

Is it not letting me set these up as accounts because this flavor of XP (this is my first HP running WinXP, so I'm not immediately familiar) automatically creates accounts with these names?

 

The name guest is reserved because you will have an option at any time once installation is complete to activate the guest account. The error is probably all or nothing, if any name on the list is not allowed no accounts from the list will be added

Just give it the two names Admin and [yourname] for now. You can always add users at anytime once installation is complete. [Control Panel>Users>Add an Account]

 

Administrator in XP is used when booting into safe mode. Thus it is a reserved name. I would recommend admin & random number & your initials, e.g admin29aa just to make it harder for any crackers, as Administrator and Admin are the first tries for crackers usually.
