wireless keyboard locked out

    i was able to key with this new board once. when i tried today, i got this message: "this modification is not allowed because the selection is locked". task bar isn't locked and control panel says keyboard is up and running. i am on a toshiba laptop running vista and trying to use a logitech wireless keyboard and mouse. please help.

    Only times I have seen that message before is when using a trial or pre-loaded trial of MS Office, so is this issue only happening in Office applications? if so what version of Office do you have?

    Is this a trial?
    If retail have you activated it? method for checking activation here

    OR

    The document you are working on is protected from editing, in most cases no way around it without the password, but can try and If Office 2007 click Review > Protect Document and see if you can make it unrestricted or this from Dave Overton


    If the keyboard is not working in any application, eg. Word, Internet Explorer, Start Search Box etc then boot into Safe Mode and does it work then, if so I would try re-installing the Logitech drivers for your model keyboard.
