wireless lan

    Im currently trying to get an acer aspire (pimpin i know) to connect to the wifi in my house. There is a strong signal, but i get a network security mismatch and it wont let me on at all. I have gone into the router and changed it to a custom key, went back to the 10 digit off the side of the router but it just wont let me in.I have no wireless experience but a decent general working knowledge of computers.

    Few questions...

    Router make and model
    Security encryption used (AES/TKIP, WPA2 or WEP etc)
    Network types, wireless g or is it wireless n?
    Operating systems being used
