Wireless Mini Pc Card??

I want to know if i can nstall a mini wireless pc card in my laptop?
Is has the Wi Fi icon but it was a special deal of the month so the factory took the wireless card out it is riht beside the Ram if i install a 802.11B wifi mini pc card and get a router what are my chances it will work?

 

ok i have a slot where i can install a ireless pci mni card in my laptop next to my ram but is dod not come with the atenna wires do i need it im just going be less then 90 feet away from the router!

yes thats what i mean but will it be a good range that pck up atleast a minuim of 100ft without the attena is what i wanna know b4 i go out and but a internel PC WIFI card for this laptop!

 

My understanding is that with the internal mini pci wireless card (not PCMCIA), you will need the internal antenna, which are actually 2 antennas routed to different areas under the keyboard or alongside the screen, depending on your laptop. With out these, I don't think you will get satisfactory reception, if you get any at all. If its too hard to install the internal antennas in your laptop, you might be better off with a PCMCIA slot card, or a USB wireless adapter.
