wireless mouse problems

    hello all , just bought a new pc and it came with a microsoft wireless mouse 2.0, when i leave the pc for a while and come back the mouse doesn't work and the cursor has disappeared, ive tried the connect button but still nothing, just wondering if anyone else has one and knows the trick,thanks in advance

    You need to check if your USB ports turn off to save power; if they do, that is why the mouse is unresponsive.

    If plodr's suggestion doesn't totally solve the problem, try moving the receiver closer to the mouse.

    If the receiver is connected to a back USB port and/or more than a few feet from the PC you can sometimes have signal issues. Buy a USB extention cable (about $3-$5) to solve the problem. Keep this cord plugged directly into a USB port; do not attempt to connect the receiver to a USB hub.
