    Hey peeps,

Ive recently set up a wireless network consisting of my laptop and desktop pc. I am using an Orange livebox as the router and have bought a wireless desktop card for my laptop which is working fine and im happy with it. I also purchased a usb card for my desktop pc and it is not very good. Im looking for a high quality wireless card thats very good for websurfing and online gaming. Im looking for a card that goes inside the pc in the pci slot.

The make and model of my pc is: Mesh x-treme 64 plus and i have checked and i do have a free pci slot.

I would be very grateful if anyone has a reccomendation for which card i should get for my desktop pc.

    many thanks:)

There are a lot of different brands out there. I generally like what ever card uses the Atheros chip for wireless because it supports just about everything and it's capable of running on "b", "g" and even "Super g" at 108Mbps.

The least expensive one I've found is the Trendnet TEW-443-PI. Their available all over but heres a link for the place I buy them from.

If want to ensure good connection you have to buy a card that let you attach an external Antenna, and buy an Antenna if needed.

I need a Wireless Card what should I get?

    Yap that is good.

If needed you can buy a 6-8dbi directional card and point it toward the Router.
