I have a dell laptop that connects wirelessly at my home just fine. At home, the network is encrypted. When I try to connect with it to other networks, it will connect for a very short time and then stop working. When I try to repair the connection or disable and re-enable the connection it appears to freeze. Does anyone have any idea why the connectivity seems to be dropping. The computer appears to be connected and has an ip address. I also connect another dell laptop right next to it and it connects and works just fine. Does anyone have any ideas about what might be happening and more importantly how to fix it? Also Windows Firewall is disabled, and I am running a McAfee security suite with firewall. I try disabling the McAfee firewall and it doesn't seem to make a difference. Also running Windows XP and I haven't had trouble on other networks with it before.

    Thanks,

    Keyser

I tried having the driver updated and that seemed to work a little longer. It seemed to then drop off after 4 minutes. Anybody have any ideas?

    Thanks,
