    Hello

I just purchased i Netgear WNR2000 300 Mbps. Now I purchased a Sabrent wireless adapter for my Dell Pc. I setup it up casue my other notebooks pick up the router. The Dell Pc picks it up but i check at the bottom to see the connection, it Says 7 Mbps maybe up to 20 Mbps, Shouldnt it pick up more speed than that. Can someone assist me, Now very important the Sabrent adapter is refurbished, but i can return if i have to, The condo i live in 950 Sqft. I think the range should be fine.

check the wifi specs, see if either have b, g, or n

depending on the technology, it may not go through walls and other obstructions well. n goes through a lot from readings, while g and b don't do well. if your adapter is g then a router n with b and g support will operate at b or g, less speed and less strength to go through objects.

also, some signal loss may be due to interference.
