Wireless networking help

    hi im new to wireless networking and im having trouble sharing my internet off my main computer to my laptop , the desktop computer has a d-link
    dwl 520+ and my laptop has a dwl g650+ now they are connected to each other , signal stregnth is excellnt it says, yet i cant browse shared folders on each of the computers nor can i surf the net even though internet sharing is on, ive configured my firewalls to alow all data through the network cards, i dunno wat else to try, im very very new to wireless networking so please help

    If you are on a Broadband connection (Cable or DSL) do yourself a favor and get a Wireless Cable/DSL Router. The Network that you are trying to build should work but it will always give you grief.

    However if you are on Internal DialUp your choices are limited.

    Configure the System one step at the time.

    1. First disable the Internet connection and make sure that you have a Wireless network. I.e. you can transfer files between the computer (signal strength and the like are not an indicators that actually Networking the two computers).
