PC is Intel & WinXP Home - wireless card driver updated

Router is Draytek Vigor 2710n - connecting wirelessly

Immediately the Vigor2710n is switched on my PC crashes, and reboots, only to crash again and again before any Windows screen is displayed.

My wife's similar PC behaves OK.

Restarting the old Netgear router returns all behaviour to the normal wireless experience.

The wireless card is: Intel PRO 2200BG - reported as "Working Properly"
The Ad Hoc Transmit Power is: highest
The Power Management Mode is: highest (lowest battery life)
The Mixed mode Protection is: default - CTS to self enabled (not RTS/CTS)
The Wireless Mode is: 802.11b and 802.11g

The driver was updated to: 9.0.1.9 - 29/10/2004
    Resources shows: "No conflicts"

Where should I look to fix this ?

    Thank you.

Can you set the Viigor to accept/use G only - not N?

This comes to you from, or through, the new Vigor2710n router !

Many thanks satrow ! G did it.

    Now, down to business.
