Wireless Router

*** I've put this in the Malware section cos I'm getting no joy from the Hardware section (i.e. no replies for weeks) ***



OK - I'll try and explain this another way (I'm not particularly computer literate so please bear with me).

The problem is I'm not automatically connecting to the internet through my wireless router.

I have to go to the router website where my status is disconnected. The following are all set to N/A:

Internet IP address
Subnet Mask
ISP Gateway address
Primary DNS
Secondary DNS

I click on connect, and when the page refreshes, I'm connected and the above information is populated correctly.

I can leave my computer on for hours on end and it doesn't connect automatically. I always have to connect manually in this manner.

Any ideas?

Thats not going to help, there are only around 10 or 15 people including admins and mods who can actually respond to threads in the malware forum.

I will have this thread moved to the hardware forum where as a new thread someone may see it. Its possible you posted at a busy time and your thread just got missed, don't take it personally, there are a lot of knowledgable people out there waiting to help, sometimes threads just get missed.

Please hold on for a few minutes while this thread is moved.

Yes Im just waiting for an admin... They all seem to be offline at the moment.
