Wireless XP laptop not printing

I have a Ricoh CL2000n color printer connected to a Netgear WGT 624 v3 wireless router.

I have an old emachine desktop connected (RJ45) to the router. I set it up with an IP port. It prints fine.

My Toshiba Techra A7 wireless laptop doesn't print. I loaded the drivers. Used the printerwizard etc. Cleared the spooler (stop/start).

I set the IP port up the same way as the wired desktop. Not shared.

I can successfully ping the printer's IP from the laptop.

The printer icon says 'offline' and when I attempt 'properties' it says it's lost it's connection. It's always said 'offline'. I also can't delete the icon.

Not sure what else to do. Any suggestions?

    TIA

Ok, don't know why, but on a hunch, I restarted the cpu (for the 5th time!) and it's working!

I don't know what I did. Must have been the way I tilt my hat?

Thanks for the board. I'm learning a lot hanging out here.
